MANDARIN BUSINESS YOUTH PROGRAM STUDY & TRAVEL INTERNSHIP MARTIAL ARTS HSK PROGRAM

China Business program

Learn how to conduct business in the world's fastest growing economy. In the last two decades, China's rapid economic growth has attracted foreign companies to invest in the country. Apart from having the resources to invest it is important to understand China's local business practices, rules and regulations, culture and society. In the early 19th century, Napoleon Bonaparte's was quoted as saying "China? There lies a sleeping giant. Let him sleep, for when he wakes he will move the world." And indeed the sleeping giant has woken with over 740 million mobile phone users, and over 400 million internet users in its population of 1.5 billion people. As we entered the 21st century, China widened its doors to the rest of the world, with its acceptance into the World Trade Organization and its successful hosting of the 2008 Olympic Games and 2010 Shanghai Expo. Today, the Middle Kingdom is the largest market in the world and plays a major role in all leading international corporations. This program is a combination of the business program and language program. For those participants working with or in China, having some knowledge of the Chinese language is essential. Studying business in China creates an immediate advantage for future employment prospects and expands one's vocational horizons within and outside China. Graduates who are proficient in Chinese and have a greater understanding of business relations in China are in high demand both in the business world and in governmental departments worldwide.

AIM
China Global Exchange (CGE)'s unique Chinese Language and Business Program combines Chinese language studies with the study of China's dynamic business system including its business culture and current economic, political and social environment. These Language and Business programs are ideal for those interested in doing business or working in China. The China Business course is a short intensive course providing an insight into the country's current dynamic business practices and economy. Factors that influence doing business in China, including business practices and related regulations and laws, are examined. Held in English, the lecturers are appointed business professors. Senior representatives of foreign and local companies present seminars. On-site study trips extend learning beyond the classroom and offer an insight into business operations of a variety of foreign companies in China. The Chinese Language program is designed to immerse participants in Mandarin Chinese through class instruction, after-class tutoring, language exchange with native Chinese speakers, and optional electives. The course integrates all aspects of the language: reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, phonetics, and vocabulary. Accelerated teaching methods allow participants at lower proficiency levels to acquire the language skills needed for effective communication in a short period of time, and advanced students to gain expression proficiency at an abstract level.
